What are your fees?

The current fee for psychological services is $210.00 per therapy hour (50 minute session plus 10 minute administration time). This fee is based on the recommendations of the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia (APNS).

Are your services covered by MSI?

Unfortunately, private practice psychological services are not covered by MSI. However, many private health insurance plans do cover all or a portion of the cost of services. Please check with your insurance provider to learn more about your coverage.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice. This allows me to offer this appointment time to clients who are on a cancellation list. If an appointment is missed or insufficient time is given to cancel the appointment, you will be billed the full hourly fee. Please note that insurance plans do not cover the fees for a missed session.

What can I expect during my first appointment?

The first appointment is a chance for me to learn about you (i.e. your background, reasons for coming to therapy) and for you to learn about me (i.e. my approach to therapy, how we can work together to help you achieve your therapy goals). During this appointment we will also go over the necessary paperwork (including information related to informed consent, privacy, confidentiality, and related policies) and you will have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. I prioritize safety and comfort in my work with clients as I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in facilitating meaningful and lasting change.
